got Rear-end, need a rear bumper

I got rear ended by a Suburban last Friday night in Santa Clara. He took off while my car (2005 6mt coupe, silver) stalled, so I could not chase him down (long night looking around for him). No license plate number either.

I got a police report, but that's next to useless. I'm planning to get it fix, and not bother my insurrance. Anyway, the rear bumper is pretty busted.

If any of you have a rear bumper lying around, please let me know. Aftermarket might be okay too.

again, my car is a 2005 6mt coupe, silver.

Thanks

Maybe if the suburban had a front plate on it, the number would be imprinted on your rear bumper. Whoa, shot fired!

funny thing happen to me and my friend back in teh day, we were leaving my friends house and at a 4 way stop someone ran thier stop and smashed into the side of our car, after the shock we pulled over and check to see if we were ok and all of a sudden the guy takes off. we chased him for a while but lost him so we just went back to the scene of the accident and we sat there pissed and waited for the cops and all of a sudden we noticed that there was something lodged in the car. we pulled it out and hahhaha we got that foos plates hahaha end up the punk has a suspended license and no insurance. but for some reason the cops didnt do anything to him he just had to pay for damages. but atleast he had to pay for the damages!

Whoa, that friggin sucks! Sorry to hear that.
No other cars were around? Believe me, if i saw that happen and the a-hole took off, i would chase him down if the car that got hit was unable to give chase. I hate it when people like that get away and the good guys are screwed.

It happened at 10:30 at night, on Scott, and Homestead. Around this neighborhood, 10:30 is quite time already, and there's rarely anyone on the street.

The cops were busy putting out a loud party 3 blocks away. They made me wait for around 1hour, and then said "do the report tomorrow".

I know the sucker lives nearby because he turned into small local street instead of taking the faster main road. And the fact that he got away without making any noise.

I spent a couple hours searching around for him, but in this neighborhood, there's a Suburban for every 2 households.

Did you go back to the scene of the accident?
You might be able to find some debris about the other car: exterior color/paint,etc on Suburban. Then drive around the neighborhood and try to match the color. Good luck.

It happened in front of my house too. Some kids did a donut spin with his mustang and lost control of the car. It went to the curb and then hit a car parked in front of the driveway. He then panicked and drove away. The owner came by 2 hours later and found the front bumper was damaged. A lot of debris from the Mustang were all over the driveway. Police came 20 mins later and took the description of the Mustang from the debris. The police was able to identify the year of the car & color. He then drove around the neightborhood and found the car in front of the owner driveway matched the description from the accident and arrested the driver.
