I've been toying with the idea of having a small Bay Area G35 shooting-range mini meet and as I'm sure I'm not the only one who shoots, or is interested in learning, I thought it'd be a fun thing to try out.

If anyone has any ideas on the topic, or if it's been tried before, or anything at all - please do not hesitate to pitch in.

This sounds fun. I have never shot a gun but have always wanted to learn. Would newbies be allowed to tag along?

Haha - that's just one of many things that it means. Yes "newbies" would be able to come along, pending an instruction course and approval of those who would be organzing/hosting this.

As this is a serious sport, if they feel that a person would be unsafe at the range, it is at their discretion to say "no, you may not come". Hopefully, everyone who is interested in this is going to be mature and respect the nature of the sport and no one would be turned away.

How about an outdoors range?

Los Altos rod and Gun Club on Skyline Blvd (near Skyline & 9 intersection)

You gotta bring your own gun, but they have 50 and 100 yd rifle ranges in addition to pistol/tincan ranges

Just come to my house. I have a big backyard BUT you'll have to bring your own gun and a SILENCER.

I've got the former, but the latter... well let's just say I don't feel like being arrested and charged with a felony, lol!
