On the Pebble Beach run, everyone had to pay first and then get a ticket to be fed.

Let me know if you need help. I'm up in Oakland, but can get there ahead of time to do a tickets/funding tally.
I dont think the issue here is the money (well, not the foremost anyways), its actually getting ppl to commit to this meet this early, they all have to agree on which banquet menu to order from first and then choice what they want from there, and relay all this info to just one person with-in certain amout of time.

Leon/Ro, Sorry about all this hassles, I just called Elephant Bar, they can only have us at either 4PM or 9:30PM, but Black Angus can have us at 7PM with 25~30 ppl no problems and we can order from regular menu at either places, not sure how you guys/gals feel about Black Angus tho...

Just for Kris, they also have HAPPY HOURS!!!

That's the place we used to sneak into! From what I remember, it wasn't the greatest food, but it may have changed over time. The elimination of time/menu problems is helpful.

Too bad about the timing at Elephant bar.

I have no issues where we go as I have taken the day off for this meet, wouldn't be able to make it from my work due to Friday traffic.

Just get an agreement on where it will be sooner rather than later or people will start to drop out.

thanks shane...

actually black angus is not a bad idea. it's hard to find a place that will accomodate all of us but this is a very viable solution.

Black Angus is comparable to Cattlemen's IMHO. If Cattlemens can't accommodate us, I have no issues with moving it to BA and being able to choose my dinner from the ENTIRE menu and not just some bare banquet menu.

I have been to Black Angus few times, probably around same time as you were(late 80's), their food as I remembered wasnt too bad, I am sure there are better places around town, its not going to be easy to find a place can hold 30 ppl on friday nights and there also the parking situations, to find a decent parking lot that isnt too crowded would be tough.

or we can all go to chris' house again paypal him 30 bucks a head and we will make prime rib and get get drunk there hahhahhahha
I'll just hand you the keys and sit back and watch....drink in each hand. Only this time, only one person at a time in the bathroom!

As for the fund collection. I stayed on top of the payments/people for the last BBQ as I wanted to make sure Kris was reinbursed in full this time around.

Paul is right, a decision has to be made on where the event will be held soon and then people can start committing their participation by paying for the meet/meal in advance (paypal). If that is the route we will be taking.

The reservation was made at BA for 25~30 ppl at 7PM, if ppl dont like that place, I can just cancel it, if they do decides on it? just call back and confirm it, thought I would save you some hassles.

BA is fine with me...I honestly don't mind where we go...whatever decision is made. I would rather eat at 7pm than 9:30pm....if 9:30 I probably won't go...but that's just me.

So it WAS Erik & Christina in the bathroom together?!?!?! My girl thought he was in there alone, trying his best (in his drunken stupor) to put on his King Leonides costume. Since the light was off, I was convinced that there was some hanky panky going on in there! Chris, I hope you cleaned that bathroom with bleach!!!

I agree...If we sit down at 9:30, we probably wouldnt get our food until about 10:00-10:30. Thats kinda late.
