Very excited, G out of body shop this week!

After close to 3 weeks in the body shop, the G is finally coming out this week. I had the vehicle painted House of Kolor Ice Pearl Gold, which is basically a 10 stage job, 3 coats of base black pearl, 3 coats of Dupont clear mixed with gold flakes, and another 3 coats of Dupont clear on top.

I took some pics yesterday... although there wasn't much sun and I couldnt really get a good angle to show the flakes plus it hasnt been detailed yet and the seats aren't in either.

Should look much better at the Fremont meet next weekend.. but here is the link

with the paint job and the brakes you're throwing on there, i'd suggest some nicer wheels. 5zigen is so-so imo. throw something forged on there

I am going to have to agree with Giri on this one...throw some forged wheels on. As for the tires, you should run a 255 front.

Both the wheels and the tires were sponsored. Really cant complain on sizing when Dunlop and 5 Zigen were both nice enough to give me their products. Actually the 285s in back are rubbing, Im probably going to have to either roll or cut the inner fenders. Im buidling a demo car and already have a mag shoot scheduled and many more parts on the way. Not many companies, especially in this economy is going to give away 20" chrome wheels and $1600+ worth of tires unless you have special connections. Im pretty happy with the way it looks. Im not trying to go all JDM, its more of a HIN show car.

I picked it up today, but its not totally done yet. I still have to get a few parts installed as well as the emblems, plus it needs to be detailed. I picked it up to install the shocks, bars, and a few other items. Everything should be done next tues or wed and i need to wait til a nice day to put it under the sun to take pics.

At night and in the shade it just looks black, under the sun it looks sparkling gold and from a distance it looks like black with gold flakes...so unless I take pix under the sun, the beauty of the paint wont come thru.

I have no idea what that is, what I used was House of Kolor Ice Pearl Gold. The whole job cost me $10k plus.
