You know what would be cool? If we all jump up and down at the same time. I bet if we time it right we can get another earthquake going. Come on people, the plates are loose!

LOL I was about to post something on the Fremont meet....

There have been 8 aftershocks since that big quake...

I took some stuff off high places such as a lamp on my dresser.

If you have pictures above your bed, it's a good time to remove it.
Have a pair of shoes like tennis shoes or hiking boots near your bed.
Check your furnace & water heater.

WOW! Nothing like a nightly earthquake. You know what the scariest thing about earthquakes are? Its like you felt a 4 magnitude quake and everything around you seems to be fine but then I start thinking if that was hella far away and it was that strong here it could of been an 8 somewhere and mass destruction. For me it is a very creepy feeling. Glad it wasnt serious and that everyone is ok! Enjoy the rest of your night!

Felt it pretty good out in Brentwood...was out with my son getting him some clothes. I was checking out an Explorer dip as the earthquake rolled.

Loma Prieta...that one was scary for me.

Oh Chris, we felt Loma Prieta all the way down in L.A.

Veronica, Annie, it's so scary! It's in the Calavera fault.

I just walked outside to put my recycling out and the air's very still.... IMHO and I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're on for more big jolts.

I remember when the Northridge earthquake hit, the air was very still like this. The neighborhood stray cats are just sitting around. At least they're not going crazy like most animals are right before a quake hits. But I don't like it. Not even a small breeze. And usually, I hear the owls squaking or a bat making noises, but nothing.

I hope I'm wrong.

Get your quake kits ready and put your shoes and flashlights near your beds and remove anything above your bed such as pictures.

I have an inflatable life raft in my kit. You never know big the next one will be. We all might end up in the Pacific.

Oh! I have an earthquake kit enough for 3 people. I'll share mine with you if you let me in your raft.

i was thinking: lets say you were working on your G and you had it up on jack stands and all of a sudden an earthquake hit.. couldn't the car potentially fall and hurt/kill you? Pretty scary thought considering a lot of people in Northern Cali could have been working on their cars at any given moment during this last quake, and future ones to come. Some thing to think about..
