I found some guy off craigslist who lived in Santa Clara. He modded my Wii for $60.

Just search the electronics sale section of craigs for "wii mod"

What was the process of getting your wii modded with the guy you found off of Craigslist? Let us know. I'm interested too. Buying games costs too much

I found him on craigslist and emailed him to get his number. Then we met up at his workplace in santa clara after dark when most employees were gone and he installed the mod in his cubicle. This guy was Chinese btw and the work place was some computer company with a lot of Asian employees. I had to wait in the car with a friend for about 30 minutes(I think, was a while ago) while he did this and was kinda scared that he was gonna run off with the wii. But thankfully, he was a trustworthy guy and brought us to his cubicle afterwards to show the Wii working with a burnt game. Then I handed him $60 and was on my way.

My Wii has trouble reading some games, especially Mario Galaxy. I burnt 3 copies of that game on DVD+Rs before I decided to buy a pack of DVD-Rs, which turned out much better. When you get your wiis modded, make sure to burn games on DVD-Rs and at the lowest speed.

I've worked on xboxes and 360s... I'm sure Wiis can't be much different or harder to learn... But yea, Craigslist is the place to find someone to mod your game system.
