Which posts of mine and which part of the post thats confusing you? I am more than willing to explain them further...

How can you guys says 400 for tint is too "expensive" without knowing what brand/kind of film they are using?, if it is Johnson/3M/Suntak HPs? sure its too expensive but not if they are using Hüper Optik, V-Kool or madico...

Evan, the lower percentage of film? the darker it is(less light transmission but not always meant less heat reduction tho), if you tint anything on front door windows? you are taking chance on getting pull over, althought many have not had issue with popo, that doesnt mean you wont, so if you do? please please dont post a thread about it.

click on this link, they have some photo galleries...

I hate to break it to you but those so call for "medical" purpose tint dont work, it has to be removable cus you cant use glare of sun as excuese at night!, Its funny how you say tint on front windshield is "rediculous" but you need your front window tinted so dark csu you have sensitive eyes, I guess glare of sun is no problem for you if its thru windshield.

Sam has been long gone from MachIII, he opened his own shop in Fremont called Permier, they do mostly clear bar now, call and ask Sam how much he charges for tint now...

I wasnt questioning if there are ppl with sensitiveness to sun light might it be eyes or their skins but there is no need for tint protection during the night time so any tint need to be removable...So you did got pull over and receive ticket for tinted window, yes you did got it dismissed by Judge but that doesnt mean it will work for anyone else, if it dose? why would that officer give you a ticket in the first place and can a Judge simpley tell you to get pair of wrap around glass and you need to take the tint off
?

I was just confused about this sentence. It looked like you were asking him a question about something he just told you happened, but maybe I'm reading it wrong.

If it was a know fact that you can use the excuse of “I have a medical condition, so I have the tint on the front windows” then there is no reason for cop to give out ticket in the first place, if any one do have a "medical" conditions? why dont they have or carry a signed note from doctors begin with? by the fact that he didn’t have a signed note from doctors at the time the ticket was given out and got them only after he received the ticket, that lead me to believe his eye condition “might” not be that severe, and the real reason he tinted them so dark is because it looks cool rather than for “medical” reasons.

But its besides the point if the "medical" condition exist or not, because it stated in the vehicle code I posted before, that any tint/sun screen device cant be used during the darkness, I don’t think you can or want to peel the tint off at night and then put it back on in the morning, so whether you have a true medical reason for it or not? It makes no difference, because if it isnt removable? Than its against the law (sadly)!

Now he has to go in front of judge try to get it dismissed, I would’ve think any respectable judge would throw that “medical” excuse back at him, as stated in the vehicle code. A judge “could” say, if he or anyone have sensitive eyes to sun light? they can simply use one of those sun glass you see many old ppl wearing that is all black and warp all the way around the face like goggles, rather tint the front windows so dark.

I'm gonna have to agree with Shane. Even if you have issues with your eyes, tint is no excuse. Either wear those dark sunglasses or use those removable shades.

20%, but I don't act like it's a medical reason, I am just a rebel.

Or you can just wear one of those huge shields/sun visors. I saw a lady wearing one the other day and she scared the **** out of me. I HATE people that wear them when driving.

Like I said before... It works for me. Lime had to rehash this because the noob questioned his initial approach to explain why I should wear granny goggles and not have tint. Tint is baaaad mmmmmkay. I hear your side lime just like I heard chippie long ago. Point is the tint helps me in the daytime. The judge saw that I was an excellent driver with no infractions and I presented myself in a well manner to him. He let it go. The same also goes for the other two times I was pulled over for it and was polite with the cops. They saw the letter and said, "I never seen one of these letters before, but since its from your doctor, its ok with me. Have a nice day." I think my tint if a far cry from alot of the other things cops should be pulling people over for.

5% tint rules!!!!
