Been a big phone buff since the Motorola Ultra Classic back in the days.

iPhone is great if multimedia is your thing. I played with it for about 2 weeks before returning it when it first came out. I found the battery life is really bad. Especially if you browse the web a lot, look at pics, and listen to music. One charge lasted barely half a day for me. The on screen keyboard takes some getting used to and the auto-complete word thing is kinda annoying. Plus I found myself cleaning the smudges off the screen all the time.

I've been and is still using the ATT Blackberry Curve, Gen1. Its light, much lighter than the iphone. Battery lasts at least a day and standby even more. The camera is ok, not as nice as the iphone, but good enough for taking on the go pics every now and then. I like where I can get email from 4 different accounts at once, sometimes faster than I can get it on the desktop. I add the 2gb card and I can store as much music and pics as I need on the go. I added a 3rd party chat program and I can chat on msn, aim, yahoo etc.

So it comes down to your needs really. Going from a Razr to a smartphone is a jump in size, as you will notice a big bulge in your pocket or might need to resort to a belt holster, but once u start typing and texting on a smartphone you really cant go back to reg phone keypad of multiple presses of one button to get one letter to come up.

One big problem with the iPhone is AT&T provider. If only they had it for Verizon. I hate AT&T... Apple was smart when they made the design since it cannot be used on Verizon or Sprint networks.

Currently, I only use my phone for calls but I have noticed that lately, I have been texting like crazy. I guess thats why I want a smartphone.

I am not worried about the size of the phone. And as for internet, I am sure I will be doing alot more of it on the phone, but I am usually somewhere where there is a computer.

I guess I will wait for version 2.

MacWorld's at the middle of this month so should be more news soon. I've heard about a new SDK coming out so that more apps will be available without having to hack it.
I've got Verizon so it's not an option. Did get a iPod Touch though for Xmas. Haven't had a chance to mess with it yet. Just wondering if it uses the same jack for the Video iPod. I have a 2007 Sedan with LCD/Nav. Have read taht you can watch videos while the car's parked on the LCD/Nav screen. It might be something I just keep in the car...sucks to have a phone with a crappy web experience and then the Touch's. Maybe I should just invest in a Man Purse :P

I am 99% sure you would have to get a cable that is audio/video (red, white, yellow) rca's on one end and ipod cable on the other end (don't know the name, but one on bottom of ipods) You can usually get them at Best Buy or Apple.

Version 1.1.3 will have a pseudo-GPS feature. It'll just show you where you are on Google map. For a true GPS just wait to see what other companies come up with after they get a hold of the SDK. I'll bet anything they'll have an external chip ala the PSP that will do GPS.

Giacomo, wait until Mac World this month to see what Apple announces. Version 2 will be way better than the current version. Hell, I'd even call this current iPhone just a beta test.

Just talked to one of my friends. He has already gone through 7 iPhones due to problems such as screen failure, no audio, etc.
