do any of you know any mexican joints in the east bay (fremont, union city, hayward, etc) that makes carne asada fries? cant find a joint out here that does.

They are so damn good, I have had a hell of a time finding them in the Bay Area, I know they have them i Monterey and Salinas

 

Aren't they real popular in SoCal?

Taqueria Las Vegas - Milpitas and Fremont

Tried this place yesterday because I heard they had carne asada fries there. I like Iguana's carne asada fries (kinda soggy though), but they're not compared to SD carne asada fries so I had to give this place a try. Their carne asada fries were okay, not as good as Iguana's.

A solid taqueria. it's one of the few taquerias in the south bay that I've seen that has Carne Asada Fries. While they're still not as great as Roberto's in San Diego, they're pretty good. I will say though that guac they use is fairly watery like out of a plastic cup.

Free chips....WHAT?!?!?!....Free slasa bar......WHAT?!?!?.....Free refills on the aguas frescas.....WHAT?!?!?!....HUH?!?!?.....CARNE ASADA FRIES.....***** EFFIN WHAT?!?!?!?!? Ok guys most places have free chips and and a free salsa bar but how many places really have free refils on the aguas frescas and carne asada fries(no not free refillls on the fries, just the fact that they have them) Dude?!?!? C'mon. The food is good and the place is clean.

 

Roberto's are the best!!!
They have them in Arizona also.... I have been to the one in San Diego!!

Aguas Frescas are the drinks they make at Tacquerias. My favorite is Strawberry.

La Tacqueria on Mission between 24th and 25th in SF has a bomb *** Fresa (Strawberry) Agua Fresca.

 

I love that place. I've been to that place alot with my family duirng weekend.
I usually just took a BART from my workplace (since I got a free parking at work during weekend) and got off the 24th street.

Yes, Strawberry Aquas Frescas are good from that place.

Yea... but it sucks when you get to the end and cant suck the strawberry chunks up the straw. Thats just proof how fresh those drinks are.

I love that spot but haven't gone in a while. Prices went up alot last time I was there.
