He's asking 37k which is a bit much. Details :

07 G35, silver/black interior, 4k miles.

What you think is reasonable to pay for this?

 

Try to play him down due to the mileage, I got my 05' G coupe with all that (except the RAS) for $37,000 out the door and it was brand new.

 

KBB Private Party value (as close as I can make it without knowing more info - so I assumed manual tranny & sport model) is:

Condition - Value

Excellent - $32,760

Good - $31,045

Fair - $28,675

Edmunds lists the following:

PPV at ~$30,342 - but that doesn't include some of the options/packages

 

Yeah I told him that, he says well its got RAS and you won't find anything like it, thing is I did, just wrong color.

 

The RAS isnt that big of deal to justifie the asking price, the car I linked you at other thread? its 06 with Navi and 18k miles and asking price for that is only 26.9k, by comparison, the 07's should be around 30~31k.

If you look hard enough? you might still able to find some brand new 07 around and you can get it lower than 37k, cus the MSRP on it is probably around 42k with inovice of 38.5k, you should able to get it at 3k below invoice now, thats if you can still find one.

You can save yourself 4~5k by getting 06's and use the money to modd it, you can get new set of iForged, Works or Volk, might have money left over for coilover/sway, or intake/exhaust.

 

Is this a coupe or sedan? I haven't kept up with the newer G's too much, so is the RAS only on coupes?

For comparison's sake, sitting in my local dealership is an '07 G35S 5AT Sedan, luxury, premium, etc, reduced to something like $34,600, and that's their asking price.

 

This is a coupe. He dropped to 36k, he's still over 5k off what TMV says and about 5-6K off what I'll pay.

 

if you cant talk him down, then dont get it. thats the obvious.

 

Yeah I'm looking for a 06-07, whichever comes first since I'm looking for a rare package together I'll take whatever year pops up at a good price.

I hate it when people selling cars try hyping up some lesser option, and attaching a price tag way over value because it's "rare."

 

Yeah I just wish he wasn't being so tight about the price. I just don't understand why you'd think you'd get that much.

 

Some have said they liked the RAS and some have said they could do without it. So, I'm assuming it's not going to make or break the car. If he isn't willing to go down in price maybe consider else where. After all 4K of mileage, that's a used car or pre-owned however you'd like to label it.

 

Some of you will probably hate on me for saying this. It's his car, he probably don't NEED to sell it. It's HIS asking price so he can ask whatever he wants. It's up to you if you want to buy it or not. There's plenty fish in the sea. Maybe because the RAS is so new he's trying to feel how much he can get.

 

He said he's selling to get a M3, I just sent him a e-mail saying if he wants to reasonable e-mail me, because he's not going to get that.

I found a 07 g35, 2k miles, 100k warranty, certified pre-owned, that was loaded for $33k at a dealer, sadly its red

 

don't the RAS tend to get in the way if you start modding stuff in the rear anyway? might as well buy new...
