Does anyone know of someone in the Santa Clara/San Jose area that can help me out?

 

Do you have complicated stuff for your tax returns? If you're like me, with just work and school, you should be able to do it yourself easily online for free at www.irs.gov/file . Theres a list of places you can choose. I personally used turbotax. It's very simple (as long as you dont have investment accounts, interest earnings, a house, etc)...

 

My taxes this year are complicated, house,additional income, investments, etc...

 

What? . . . I guess that no one in the Santa Clara/San Jose area has their taxes done?

 

I have a tax attorney in Campbell, but he's expensive... but he'd saved my as$ many, many times.

If not, I have another one around Santa Clara, but he's not a tax atty.

Normally, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend my guy (he's a great guy and very good at what he does), but he's so busy, last I heard, he had to turn away new referrals.

Is that near Bascom? Mine's on Bascom. Congrats on getting yours done Rob... I have to get my stuff together.

I did my taxes 3 weeks ago, but it won't help you guys in the SJ area. My tax person is in SF in the Sunset district.

Turbotax FTW. Fast, easy, and you'll get your refund within a week if you e-file with direct deposit. Been using it for a couple years now without any problems.

My family goes through this "professional" tax guy in Vallejo and last year, they all got audited because of bs tax claims.
