"California Window Tint Law
California Tint Law Enacted: 1999
HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN CALIFORNIA?
Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In California, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window Any darkness can be used. "
get something like 20% so you can still see at night
LOL j/k
Yes sir you are correct, 35% is not too bad though you can still see through it, we have a light colored interior so you should be fine.. but then again if you prefer to be on the safe side 50% fronts is your best bet, then for the back totally up to you old man
