highway 1 near cambrige is closed due portion of the highway fell down the ocean!! I know we were there at that highway segment on the first coast trip...plan a detour guys!!

If you guys are coming over 41 to the 101, South to 101 then out to Cambria you won't be affected by the collapse. I'm pretty sure if you take the 46 from 101 over to hwy. 1 and South to Cambria you won't be affected either.

Now from Monterey South you will have problems. I have a good friend flying out from Nebraska to run the Big Sur Marathon and the collapse is part of the route. I e-mailed her and she's a little worried. It's going to be a longtime before that portion is repaired, just thankful no cars were lost when it caved.

 

WOW thats crazy! Sink hole, mud slide or just the ocean taking out the hillside?

 

Still here, just not much active G driver in these days. I got 22K miles on my Continental DWS Extreme..woohoo!! broke the records from previous sets. Currently, running on the Kumho tires and see what is the miles I get out from these guys!!


ps. Anyone have any problem with the radiator fans?? mine seem to run when the engine is warm and only stop when I turn the engine off. Normally, it would turn on when the engine is hot and off when the engine is cooler a bit. Some G drivers told me it was the control module behind the battery and some guys said it was the switch sensors from the radiator motors. I would like to know a bit more details before spend on the wrong parts. But most G drivers in Central are newer model so your guaranty would cover it....mmmmmm, anyone?? or just me with this problem!!!
