you wont be required to if you have awd, but it'll still be suggested
we go up with a awd tahoe or w/e to go snowboard
and we still put the chains on occasionally
but if you dont put em on just drive real nice and slow and safe

If you are in one of your sedans and you get into a situation where chains are required the CHP will not allow you to go any further. If you dont have chains with you there will be plenty of people up there selling chains but at a premium price.

If you plan to go Tahoe, check out the road condition before you left. I used to have projects in Tahoe and some time, I had to take a long detour due to road closure. I agreed with jeremy that chain is required, I spinned my car once up there around the snow, but it was with my G. haha, an asian double O 7!! Remember the scene? too horror that not everyone would recall.... haha
