good place to get tints in san jose area ***UPDATE W/ PICS***

Hey, im looking to get my windows tinted, im in sj right now, so does anyone have any good recommendations? also, im thinkin bout getting some overlays for my headlights, i dont really wanna do them myself because i might mess them up. i know most tint places wont apply anything that they dont offer, but does anyone know of a place that does? thanks.

UPDATE ***

Ok, so i went to Mr. Tint today to get my windows tinted and my headlight overlays put on. All in all, i think it went pretty well. I went and got 22% tint in the front 2 windows, and since my back window was already tinted from the factory, it matches the back really well. They also did a pretty good job with the headlights even though it seemed like it was their first time attempting something like this. So, if anyone is looking for a place to get their windows tinted, i would highly recommend going to Mr. Tint. They do a very good job, and he even gave me a nice little discount.

Without further ado, here are the pics

i got my windows tinted at California Auto Tinting and Polishing
they are located at 130 E. Sunnyoaks Avenue. Campbell
408-370-9399
I got my windows tinted on my tc, im not sure how expensive they are really, because i had a certificate to get the 3 back windows done, which i think was $150 and then i paid $100 to get my driver and pass. windows done.
i have 30% up front and 20% the back 3 windows.
it looks good

Check out Mr. Tint. Did a great job and they have fair prices. Paid $200 for all windows in 20% w/ lifetime warranty, plus a car wash for free...

I havent gotten a fix it ticket so far but its a risk you take. If you want to be safe, I'd go with 35% in the front. If you want it for the looks, i'd go with 20% or less in the front.

alot of cops in san jose bro... so to be safe you better go like i did to my car:

front: 35% side passenger/driver ( this way SAFER won't get pull over )
rear side: 20%
back windshield: 20%

and look REAL NICE

nope, thats about the only ticket i havent gotten!!!

what color is your car?? darker shades look better on certain color cars in my opinion! i dont think that 35% in the front would be a problem. ive had mine for almost a year and havent gotten pulled over for my tint. i really wish i would have gone 20% all the way around.....but then i think you really might be asking for some attention from the cops!!

Some times I wish I would've went with 20% all around too.

silentxnight, if you have a coupe make sure they know how to tint over the matrix on the back window. Some tint places put vinyl overlays over that area and tint over that to make it easier on them. I'm not a big fan of that way of doing it.

Really, Melissa? With my 35% I don't have a problem backing up. Then again, now that I think about it, I use my backup lights to light up whatever I'm backing up to (garage, wall, etc.). Maybe that's why I haven't really noticed.

It's funny how I thought 35% tint would look darker from the outside at night than in the day time but it doesn't. At night it looks like I don't have any tint on. lol

ya so i decided to go with Mr.Tint. i ordered some headlight overlays from bluebatmobile today, so when i get them im gonna set up an appointment with them to get my windows tinted as well. my coupes black so ya...hopefully it turns out well
my matrix and back windows are actually already tinted from the factory. the guy said it was tinted by the dealership cuz the car was actually from Sacramento, and for some reason they tinted it. does anyone know what percent the factory tint is? because im thinking bout just leaving that and tinting just the 2 front windows to save some cash lol. thats ONLY if the 2 front ones wont be darker then the back ones, cuz that would look funny lol.
