Just got install done at Z Car

Hey all,

Just came back from Z Car Garage to get my GT Spec front tie brace and new wheels and tires put on. Here's some pictures - sorry about the quality - it's from my camera phone:

GT Spec front tie brace- in front of it, in red, is my sway bar. As you can see, the front tie bar sits right underneath the oil pan, with little clearance. The drain plug is on the right side, just above the tie brace. If oil changing gets messy, I intend to put in a Fumoto valve.

GT Spec midchassis brace - the shot was taken facing the front; you can see the catalytic converters on the bottom, on either side of the oil pan. I also have the lateral rear arm brace (no picture, sorry)

And here's some pics of my car with the new wheels and tires.

The wheels are 19" Nismo LMGT4s, 8.5" in front, 9.5 in back. The tires are Falken FK452, 245/35/19 in front, 275/35/19 in back. I know the guy in back looks like he's lurking, but he was actually taking pictures.

I think I'm ready for the twisties now. Maybe it's me, but the steering does feel a touch lighter now.

Thanks neighbor. (for those of you who don't know, Tu and I live practically next door to each other)

I forgot to mention that I went with the LMGT4 partly because they were one-piece wheels, and I didn't worry about issues with TPS sensor installation. As part of the install, they took the TPS sensors out of my stock wheels and put them in the new ones.

why put on the brace bars if you don't even have coilovers yet?

Chassis bracing will benefit even a bone stock G. (if they do indeed stiffen the chassis as advertised)

What did Rob charge you for the install of the tie brace as I have the rear lateral one just sitting here.

Looks great, Tony . . . Congrats!

Wish I could get the chassis bar. If I installed one of those, I would be scrapping everything.
