GooGone works fine but you have to apply with a soaked rag so it saturates
the glue. Then gentle wiping should remove any glue left. Now you can use
an item like ScratchX to remove any shadows followed by some quality wax.

 

says it is restricted in CA... maybe thats why I don't see it anymore. I may just hit up FinishMasters in SSF.
