we stayed at the bora bora nui resort which is a starwood luxury resort. it's on the western part of bora bora on it's own island or motu as the tahitians call it. there are only two resorts on this motu. the reason i picked this one is because you have an unobstructed view of the horizon to the west so you can see a pristine sunset. no other resorts on bora bora can offer this. most of the other resorts either face towards the main island or face towards opposing resorts on the reef. also, i chose an end unit bungalow so i wouldnt have any neighbors blocking my view of the horizon.
