It's all you Giri, no need for apologies to me. I called, thats the price he gave me. Sounds like this event is a no go.

You guys do understand that having alignment done on a stock car vs. a lowered car with camber kits is different right?

Call him tomorrow and see what he tells you.

yeah definitely having a camber kit or toe kit is different, but a lowered car with no other suspension mod is like a normal car. maybe we need to negotiate two rates

I've had alignment done there at least twice. Both times, the first thing they asked is if I had camber kits. When I said "no" the rate was $80 for a four wheel alignment.

I will clarify this in more detail once I get a final answer back from Orlando on another question I have.

Hang tight.

I spoke with Orlando earlier this morning and here is the breakdown. I will also update the main post.

Front camber kit: $100
Front and rear camber kits: $100
Rear camber kits :$60
Stock (no camber kits): $60

He is available Saturday July 5th so we can keep that date open as a tenative event date pending we get enough commitment from you all to drive the event to happen. If we don't we can push the event out one week (I will have to check Orlandos availability beforehand)

$60 sounds better to me but July 5th is a bad day. Alot may be out of town for the holiday (like me).

I'd highly recommend Auto Innovations. I went to Big O in Walnut Creek after my spring/camber kit install based on hearing some good feedback on them and they weren't able to get the front Toe into spec.

I brought the car without any changes to Orlando and he got the Toe into spec. I had him also install the rear toe bolts since I just couldn't find the time to do it myself.

^Yet another positive experience from Orlando.

I agree that July 5th may be questionable for participation due to the holiday but we'll see how people respond.

I've discovered that the guy/s that use to do alot of the alignment work at Big O Walnut Creek no longer work there anymore. I too wasn't satisfied with the numbers I got back from them last time I went, thats why I'm going to AI this time around.

$60.00 for cars with a rear camber kit sounds like a heck of a deal. The last time I went to AI, I paid $90.00 with a rear camber kit.

Chris, any chance you can push it off a week? I'll be gone 4th of July weekend, I'll be camping. But if you are able to push it off a week, definitely count me in

That's still a crappy price... i used to do alignments on the side at my shop for $40 and i'd adjust front and rear camber no problem, even if it was a slammed car and i had to use 12' 2x8's to get the car on my alignment rack.

It shouldnt take more than 20 minutes to align a G35 with no front camber kit (regardless of how low it is) and it doesnt matter if it has a rear camber kit or not because it comes with the same adjustments from the factory as any rear camber kit has. Especially since you guys are doing 10+ cars, the price should be lower. I'd say $50 at the very most for a car without front camber kits and $70 at the most for cars with. JMO

Thanks for your opinion Grant but the price is what it is. People don't have to sign up if they don't want to and they are more than welcome to shop around and find a better price.

Auto Inovations is a very reputable shop here in Norcal and they do great work, that is why we have chosen them to do this event for us. It's not always about who gives us the rock bottom price but a fair price and good service. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
