Auto Inovations Group Alignment Day - Sign Up Thread

I spoke with Orlando today about a G35 Group Alignment Day and he is open to the event.

Here are the details/price breakdown

When:
Saturday July 19th from 9am to 3pm.
First come first serve.

Where:
Auto Innovations
1337 Minnis Circle
Milpitas, CA 95035
408.956.8004

Pricing:
Front camber kit: $100
Front and rear camber kits: $100
Rear camber kits :$60
Stock (no camber kits): $60

We need around 10 cars to commit to make this happen

Orlando needs to know if you have or don't have a front camber kit as this would determine the time it would take to get each car done.

At this time, it will only be open to G35's only but there is a possibility of being able to open it up to a few non-G35s later on.

Damn, that might not be enough time for me to order my camber kits.

plz don't do the 28th of June, I'll be in Vegas for my bachelor party.

Also what the heck? He used to charge $80 for a 4 wheel alignment (no camber/toe kits). Why are his prices so high now?

$100 might be a waste for me since I dont have front or rear kits. SHould be able to get the rear as close to stock without but im SOL in the front if its way off. I need to find the time to get to dealer to get my alignment checked for free before I commit...

If my new front wheel and tires is here in time for this, I'm in. I simply have the SPC rear camber/toe set-up. They have aligned my wheels before with this set-up. They did a wonderful job, evident by the excellent tire wear/life.

Mike, it's always a good idea to have an alignment done at regular intervals. Every time your wheels/tires hit a bump or pothole, your wheel alignment degrades a bit and gets pushed out of its original factory settings. An alignment will help prolong the life of the tires. It helps the tires wear more evenly across the tread.

I'll check with Orlando on the pricing to see if it changes any. I would think it would since the front is only going to be an alignment and not have to do any adjustmenting of a camber kit.

28th might to be too early since we would still need enough interest to get this confirmed still.

I think people are getting confused with getting an alignment done on a car with and without a camber kit. A camber kit allows for more adjustability for lowered cars that tend to throw a wheel inward (negative camber). You can still get your alignment done with or without one but having a kit means they/Orlando will have to adjust that A-arm as well as other OEM components on your car so it is more involved than a typical, unlowered/unmodified car.

$100 sounds like a fair price to me from a shop that mainly deals with modified cars. Plus they seem to have very great reviews from the customers/members here on Driver.

I think Andy gave a good explanation but if you have additional questions, feel free to send me a PM or post it up here.

Thanks

+1, I used to pay $80 as well with no camber kits. The whole idea behind a group day is to save a little $$$. It seems like he jacked up the price for our event.
