I was driving north on the 5 a while back with our normal 5:00 o'clock traffic,
and this female was on my tail (three or four feet) and no matter which lane
I moved to she was right on me. This went on for 4 or 5 miles until I became
pissed and took my car up to 80 MPH and moved over so she couldn't follow.
Guess what, behind me know is a CHP with light a glow. I explained my
situation, he handed my license back and said, "Nice car, be careful driving
home!" Cops aren't the bad guys, they just do there job! I have had other
issues though....

I don't know man.... Looks like the cop just needed to meet his quota, you should look on the bright side.... At least he didnt give you another ticket for the out-dated stickers....

Could of been worst....At least you werent pull out of your car, harassed & laughed at gunpoint & searched for a seatbelt ticket..... True story.

I do not like CHP as well, but skeleton_cru got it right. You should not use a lane improperly, even though it's logical. If anything happen, it's always your fault.

I did the same thing once before, I shifted to another lane to avoid a runner in the back, and I hit someone else. After the hit, no one care about your explaination. The runner ran away, the guy who got hit think you are trying to talk your way out. The COP doesn't care either. He just reported what he sees on scene.

 

There are far too many threads where the OP states that he is clearly doing something illegal and complaining about the police for doing their jobs. I used to hate cops too but as I got older and matured I realized that they are doing their jobs. The OP in this thread says he was in the carpool lane AND he was speeding. You should let the cop tea bag you for not issuing the other ticket. This is not why we hate cops.

most cops used to be a NERD in school.. always get pick on and now they can get back at you!

I Won My Case Today!!!!!! Hell Ya! I was forced into the Diamond lane due to a drunk driver. CHP Officer wrote me a $490.00 ticket anyway. For those of you who plead guilty are either really guilty or your unaware you have the right and the chance to get it reduced or completly dropped like mine. No fine no traffic school NADA! It isnt just about the money( getting the fine dropped) Its the feeling that Justice was served! No better feeling!!!! I am so Happy I would like to Thank a couple of you for your posts. They were very helpful. I used the question: DO YOU EVER SEE DRIVERS SLAM ON THERE BRAKES OR SWERVE FORCING OTHER VEHICLES INTO THE D LANE? DO YOU WATCH ALL LANES OF TRAFFIC?
It took the officer a couple of mins to answer my questions and Boy was he throwing me some mean looks I loved it! Thanks again you guys As for the rest of you fight for your rights. It isnt impossible. Its a ridiculous law anyhow I have heard talk about the diamond lane law being changed or removed here in SO CAL but its just talk.
