Hated On.Somewhat

Was on the 101 around Mtn View on my way home from work. I was somewhat in a hurry because I had to go to dinner for my birthday. I'm in the carpool lane for maybe all of 5 minutes when a CHP sneaks up on me .
He pulls me over and asks why I was in the carpool lane. I say "b/c im trying to pass the slow cars since im in a hurry to go dinner for my bday". He comes back 5 minutes later and is like "It would be a present for me to write you a ticket since its your birthday, but since you were honest and didn't give a lame excuse im not going to write you up" . but of course he couldn't just let me go so he wrote me up for no front plate . I read the thread on putting on the front plate w/out holes but I'm not sure If I still have the mount & screws that comes w/our cars (new bumper). For the people that have done this already, is it possible to buy a new mount so I don't have to buy the stillen hook? And what size screws would I need?

Though the Stillen front bracket is a lot of $$ for what it is, I paid it b/c no way I wanted holes in my front bumper, but that's me. Think there's cheaper ones same concept on Ebay now.

Sorry...don't know what size screws for factory front bracket. Ask dealer?

I'm not going to put holes in my bumper....but u still need to put screws in to not make it look obvious. And do you care to explain how you do it with zip lines? this seems like the easiest method out of the ones ive read.

Just cut the heads off the screws and glue them to the actual plate. Get a strip of velcro and stick it onto both the top of plate and to car. Once you get a few blocks away from police station, take it off. To the cop it will look like it is screwed into the car. Peel off the velcro and use a lil goo gone if there is residue left on bumper.
