So I have to go to San Mateo Court to Fight this Ticket.-
As a lot of you know, I got a ref-ticket last month for no license plate, exhaust, no carb sticker and no proof of insurance. All these citations are not-correctable except for no license plate.
So I got the bail amount..
I have to pay $1123.50 and to a show proof of correction, if not I have to pay $1332.25. This is ridiculous so I am going to fight it. I'll head to San Mateo court on Thursday really early and hopefully I get the same luck that Ken (kenempireex) got.
Wish me luck. What a pain in the butt.

man...I thought i am not lucky, but your fine makes my ticket looks like a piece of toliet paper. The judge most likely will give a cut in fine for you, just depends on how much. 50% off will still cost you so much money.
Good luck, dude. I am sure you will be as smooth as mines. Just make sure you bring all the paperwork, state referee paper, purchase, etc. Tell the judge your story (If he wants to hear), it may help. I can picture your best and worst case.
Best case: pay less than $100 at the end.
Worst case: Judge will give 50-55% off the payment, ask for payment extention.

even tho it says non correctable... im pretti sure they'll cut u some slacks if u had insurance at the time u got the ticket and u can prove it ull be fine. correct ur front plate get it signed off.
when u appear in court tell them u put ur exhaust back to stock. after he lowers it to whatever ask if he can reduce the fine ur currently a fulltime student... n then ask for monthly installments.. i really doubt ull hav to pay that 1300. prob gonna end up lookin at 600.

What's up guys... just an update..
So I didn't sleep last night because I wanted to be at San Mateo court by 4:30am. I made sure I'm not going to sent home and get this ish done. I bought a PS3 (finally found 1 in Fremont Frys), bought Call of Duty 4 and played online until 3am to keep me entertained. Got to the court hours by 4:30am and not a single-soul was there so I slept-on and off (the G is the most uncomfortable car you'll ever sleep in). By 7:30, I woke-up, noticed the parking lot is full so I jumped-out and hella people were inline. I was like WTF, all that and I'll get sent home anyway!??! But fortunately there's no limit, as long as I get there before 8:30, I'm cool.
I got to the clerk, showed the exhaust papers, smog papers, license plate signed-off plate ticket and copy of insurance. 3 of the charges were dismissed right then and there because THEY ARE A FIX-IT ticket. No matter what the officer writes on the ticket (correctable or not-correctable) once you go to the clerk, you can correct it.
However, the VC 27156 is not dismissable so I either pay the $375 (original bail is $1300) or talk to the judge. So I told the clerk yes I want to do that and around 9:30 I got called infront of the judge. I just told her, "Your honor I want to contest the citation VC 27156 today", and she responded, "No need to explain, I'm dropping it anyway. Pay $10 in the clerk window. Thank you.." I was like, "NO YOUR HONOR.... THANK YOU".. =)
What a relief and what an achievement. That judge was awesome, she was friendly, smiled at everyone, gave every single one in there either with a reduced fee or dismissal.
This day is awesome. Now I just need to get some sleep.
Thank you guys for the support.

And oh, you wouldn't believe how much the court is making a day from all these violations. I mean even after reducing the fine, its still a lot you know. Everytime she calls a name, its atleast $50 (some are even $300+) except for some exceptions like me ofcourse they get $10. But man, in my head I was going cha-ching, next, cha-ching, next, cha-ching. Crazy.
