Insurance is useless too. I has some dumba** in a manual Passat rolled back into my GF car then she took took off and finally pulled over 4 blocks up the hill. We had already called 911 and report hit and run. Cops arrived at the scene and basically just made sure we all had the correct info. She admitted fault to me while exchanging information but as soon as she got back home, she told her insurance I rear ended her. Her insurance found me guilty. Talk about f**ked up system. Would a person who rear ended someone call 911 and claim hit and run?? Something shady about this...

Everybody tries that... that's why I always claim asap. Leave a message, do whatever you got to do, but no matter what the deal is, make your claim asap.
If it really is their fault, and your insurance does nothing for you, sue them. I've found that technically, your insurance agent is supposed to fight for you if you were not on the wrong. Anything less is against their contract with you. They are supposed to go to the lengths of taking the other person and insurance company to court if they must.

My GFs insurance was on our side and agree that the other woman was at fault, however, when they went against AAA, they lost. We were told that they cant do anything more. I am now getting a lawsuit together for small claims court. Why the hell am I paying money for insurance when I keep getting screwed by them. There is alot more to the story but I dont wanna ***** up your thread Don.

After she rolled back into us, I pulled along side of her to motion for her to pull over and she ignored me. I tried again and she still ignored me and continued to drive away. Finally she pulled over several blocks up the hill. She was ready to leave after exchanging information but we had told her to wait until the police arrive. They came about 5 minutes after we had pulled over but said there was nothing they can do. They dont fill out any reports since they dont know who really hit who. Its all a bunch of BS.

Crap. Sorry to hear about all this, Don. Hope you can get everything fixed without stressing out too much more than you already have.

OK... insurance told me the police report is not a problem here... since it was a hit and run and no identifiable (license plate number) suspect, I just pay deductible and they pay the rest.

On the bright side, I brought my car by the shop today and the guy who does my bodywork said that the damage will come right out with wet sand and buffer!
