license plate mount

Ok my second time getting a tix for no front license plate. I think three is the limit before you cant pay the $10 fix-it price anymore. Correct if im wrong. Anyways, for a 2006 coupe, do you have to drill holes to install the plate? The manual says you do. The first time i got a tix, i just used double sided tape for a day or so until i got a cop to sign off. But i think my plate is going on for good now. Any suggestions on how i can install it permanently without drilling holes? Anyone incorporate the hitch area? arrrghhhh

^ Yup I got one of those a long time ago. Bit pricey, but hey no holes in my 06 sports bumper. Read awhile back Flea Bay has something similar too.

Yeah they went up in price since I bought mine, but what hasn't gone up in $$ these days.

If you spring for it, shoot me a PM and I'll tell you a couple modifications I made to mine that makes it better.
One being not to scratch your bumper paint if you take it off and put back on occasionally like I do

Go to Ebay. The hitch is like 35 bucks. I don't think there is a limit on fix tix.

I know it's in Stillens catalog and if you'd do a search here I'm sure there's
more information. I need to get the bracket too in anticipation of getting
a ticket....you know tint and no front license plate.

I just came across a member today who sells a front plate bracket much cheaper than Stillen... but I can't find him now for the life of me.

I have a Stillen bracket. I love it and there's no holes in my bumper. It's quick and easy to pop on and off, but it's a little more pricey than it should be.

I know when I got a no front plate ticket recently I went on Ebay and searched G35 license plate bracket and there was a no brand for 35 & 10 shipping. I didn't get cuz I used double sided tape & got a cop @ my gym to sign it off.

^^^Yeah Ebay is the way to go. Why pay over 70 when you can get it for half on there. Do you know how to measure your tow hook?

let me know how it goes, i just temp double sided taped my plate right now. But i need a permanent solution and i'm el cheapo, $70+ after tax/shipping is kind of steep. If you goto the stillen website it says the 04-06 coupe tows are 5-7/8" long with 24mm threaded diameter. Not too sure how accurate that is. Please give me a link when you find it for $30. i cant seem to find anything cheaper than $65.thanks!
