mind mentioning which shop this is?

Would getting thicker oil do any good? Make it harder to burn more oil, try some engine treatment solutions. After putting on my catbacks I just started to BLOW OUT SMOG all over, so I'm going to try putting in thicker oil.

But I abuse my G35 when it comes to me and the road haha. Maybe I should start taking it easy on it. It's been about 3,600ml since I've changed it. But there hasn't been a day since I haven't floored it. Became a bad habbit.

The first time I took it was Roseville Infiniti, which by far is the worst dealership to deal with. I also had an issue with them on all the rattles & stuff, which they said they fixed and they didn't do jack. Also I just found out that they never opened up a ticket w/ Infiniti Techline on oil consumption. I mean I could go on and on about other issues that they never fixed, but you get the point.

So 1500 miles are up and I am taking my car in to the dealer today to get the oil measured. I checked the oil this morning and couldn't believe what I saw, it barely had any oil left. I mean it had no more then a qt left. So the fight is on today w/ Elk Grove Infiniti.

Here is a post that gives you infiniti guidelines on OC for replacement or non-replacement of the engine.

So I am excited as hekk guys. Infiniti of Elk Grove came through again after my dissapointment with Ifiniti of Roseville. I am getting a brand new motor! They did the consumption measurement right in front of me and it it it was a lil' over 20mm, which is equivelant to like over 2qts. The battle and sleepless nights have paid off, and whoever is going through the consumption test make sure you don't give up the fight and watch your car like a hawk when its in the dealers shop.

Thats awesome man and +1 to Infiniti of Elk Grove, it is where I take my G and they are always cool about warranty service. I have checked my oil since I got the car but I must be one of the lucky ones because it doesn't burn any. Congrats on getting satisfaction and a new engine!

Thanks Phil. I I can't wait.

I started paying attention when I started driving it a lot. I have 64k on mine right now. I would say like 51k I started noticing it. I was going on a long trip last year and just checked my oil and topped of all my other fluids. I changed my oil like 1500 miles before and it needed 2 qts to top it off. Now when I get my new motor, I am gonna use Roay Purple break in oil because I heard it works really good.
