Headlight Sealant.Need Help

Hey guys! I was just wondering what the sealant is used for the headlights? I cant seem to get the OEM to seal back properly and I have major condensation inside the lens...

Any help on what is used and where I can find it would be helpful. Thanks!

The OEM sealant works real well. I believe you can buy it at most Nissan dealers. Its called rubber butyl.

Here is a link to it...

I think I remember IvoryGT saying that the vapors in sealants can potentially cause fogging of the the lenses. It is best to just stick with the OEM stuff. Alot of people on HID Planet use it on their retrofits.

Hey guys, I just wanted to thank you for the quick response. I found some sort of "Butyl" from Kragen made by 3M for window seals... anyway no one around here knew what rubber butyle was!

Thanks again!

I'm looking for some myself, and the best I can find was at OSH... but it was a white rubber butyl... For some odd reason, I never bothered to check Kragen's or Pep Boys for some window rubber butyl sealant...
