Yeah a crew has definitely been working our area. I posted my own thread on this a couple weeks ago. For some reason they couldn't get past my wheel locks, or got spooked and left the job half done. Drove almost all the way to work down Hwy 24 with only wheel locks holding the left sided wheels ! I have some major curb rash as well, but the bran new KDW's would have made it worth it I guess. How much is that add-on policy BTW??

Yes I saw your thread thats crazy, my friend also got his 2008 Yamaha R6 stolen in this area a couple weeks after my wheels were stolen. I forgot how much extra it costs but it wasnt too much more.

Damn... sounds like an on going issue. I would definitely call the local PD and ask that they increase the patrol in that area... They are obligated to comply with a reasonable request for increase patrolling and (obviously) multiple thefts and GTA in the area are good grounds as to why it's needed. OR what you could do, write up a letter/petition and have neighbors around your area sign it to request increased coverage. I'd hate to see the same idiots come by and steal your new rims

I added some money since SSRs are just a little bit more money.

Yea we both filed police reports they said they've increased patrol around the area, and I have seen alot more of them in the area more frequently which is good.

quick question
how does the payment work? do you just tell them your wheels cost this much and they cut you a check? or do you need proof like receipts, photos and other stuff? I need to get this added to my policy when my wheels arrive

The insurance adjustor came to my place and looked at the car. I had the receipts so I would keep them because it made it easier.

Yea sure I'll do a little review and put up some more pictures. I was wondering the same thing about using a regular magnet, but I was worried it might mess them up so I was hesitant to try that. I figure theives don't usually carry magnets with them so I'd be ok.
