Andy,
That's pretty crazy, I think I'm going to wait for this model though:

If you're tired of taking apart your PC's, I'd say go with the Mac.
It'll be somewhat more interesting since you use Windows usually.
i used Windows XP Pro for the longest, and recently (last week) I decided to try Vista Ultimate, so here i am on Vista Ultimate trying to figure sum stuff out just not use to the layout/system tools yet.

I run XP on my workstations and Linux on my servers. Mac is great for certain applications, it is really dependent on the individual need. Personally I find repairing PC's easier and cheaper than a mac.

Without question . . . Macs are not cheap to repair. My wife used to work for an Apple lincensed service and sales firm. I heard a lot of repair nightmare stories from years back. However, I have never had a reason to repair my wife's or daughter's Mac notebooks. Now, my Toshiba, Sony, and Dell laptops . . . arrrggg! The Dells are a quite simple to get into to mod, repair and upgrade, thankfully.

I dont know if im enjoying it yet lol.. so far ive had more random problems with Vista then i have had with XP i think i may downgrade rofl... then again it was free so i cant complain... Pc's are funner to customize and build, also cheaper then macs STAY WITH PC!! Going to a mac is like Going from a G to a CIVIC!! DONT DO IT!!

Ummmm . . . I think that you have that analogy backwards.

Started with mac back in the day and very stable. Liked it.
Unfortunately had to go to 'the dark side' b/c of business software needed later on before Mac became Win software friendly like now.
Still today using XP Pro and like it the best so far, still better than Vista imo.
We'll see how Win 7 will be, read much better than Vista thank gawd, even on their beta version for free download not that long ago.
I personally still pass on Mac b/c of their price, but that's me.

Think about it this way andy, u can build a pc for $800-1k and a retail pc with same specs would be 3.5-4k :X. Atleast thats what it was when i built my gaming computer(about 900-1k invested in my build), a HP with similar specs (mine was better still) retailed for 3.5k. As for macs?? there Expensive period so id guess u wouldn't save to much. but then again i dont build macs so i can be wrong.

I am new to the Mac community. Thus, I don't really know, what if any custom mods/builds are possible. However, I don't actually intend to do as such on this particular platform. Well, at least until I get a better feel of things.
