Does this feel like a scam?

So I went to sell an old amp on craigslist, within maybe 2 hours of posting it I got someone who wanted to buy it.

So after I say sure it's for sale and then I get this back.

"Hello i really appreciate your response to my earlier mail.like i said i will like to buy this item so pls do withdraw the advert from Craigslist. I will also like you to know that i will be paying via check due to the distance as i am located in Florida.I will need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check.

1.Your full name
2.Your mailing address be it residential or postal address
3.Your phone number.

**I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping i will have my mover come over as soon as you have cashed the check**

Have a nice day."

Which made me feel alittle funny having a "mover" come get it.

Then after I send my information I get this back later on...

"Hi ,how was your day ?I want you to understand that the deal is on and
my secretary as posted the payment promptly, but there was a little
problem which i guess we can handle with care while i contacted her to
confirm if the payment as been mail out i was made to understand that
its actually as been sent and but instead of the actually amount
150usd for item, she made out the check for $1500 she claim that was
what i
requested but she didn't get that straight. The payment was already
posted before i was inform about this but i wouldn't want this to
delay the sale as i have rectify this with my Bank and all you do once
you have the payment is to take it to you Bank and have it cashed and
you will then deduct the money for you good plus a $100. The excess
fund on the payment will then be wired to my mover via western union
that same days so that he can come for pick up as i already plan on
using the excess on the payment to offset the cost of the various
shipments he as undertaken on my behalf.Do let me know if i can trust."

Which seems super fishy, anyones thoughts?

Classic scam. You will get the check and your bank will accept it. The check then bounces. By that time u have wired or refunded cash and got burned.
textbook.

It is a scam my uncle told me about it. They send you a fake check for more money than you asked and they tell you to return the rest.

Now that you've confirmed it's a scam, time to have fun with the guy... Keep replying to his emails, say you never got the check, post random tracking numbers, etc.
