EDIT: I GOT ANOTHER TICKET -_-

i got one for no front plate and tinted windows...

this ones weird because it was a hot day, so my windows were rolled down and were never rolled up until i got home..yet the guys pulls me over for tinted windows. is there a way i can contest this? i mean i admit my windows are tinted, but he doesn't have evidence at that time that it was, i just said to him my windows are rolled down, how are you going to give me a ticket when you cant see it? he just said its the law -_- and this was from a highway patrol officer, in my neighborhood, very weird.

also can i just double stick tape the front plate bracket to my car? cause im not trying to put holes in my front bumper...

i dont think your modified exhaust ticket was for the size of the oulet of your exhaust, but for the loudness in decibels it makes. the trust ti is a LOUD *** exhaust....even with the silencer, my cousin runs it on his evo and we use that exhaust on one of our track evo's also. i would reccommend throwing on your stock exhaust just incase they want to be a dick but you can definitely try and just use your silencer, but i can almost guarantee that the trust ti can not pass the decibel test with the silencer on

you can also pay your fine online. i would reccomend doing traffic school online also so you wont have a point on your record

btw, do you have a catless downpipe on your evo? if so, id worry about that more than just your greddy catback

You shouldnt have to go to court for a speeding ticket. They will send you the ticket in the mail, you can just pay the fine and do traffic school and be done with it. If you decide to fight it, then you would go to court for it. As for the exhaust, I believe you take it to a state referee and they will do a decible test and might even inspect the piping to determine whether its state legal or not. I believe you need to be under 96.5 DB.

Read inside the red box where you signed. It should say, "without admitting guilt i promise to appear at the place and date indicated below." By signing you are not admitting to guilt. Your signature is release from the arrest. The court MAY send you a courtesy reminder in the mail, but it is not required to. If you get a letter in the mail, you can enter your plea through the mail. If if it is getting close to your court date, and you have not received anything, call the court or just show up on that date to enter your plea. As far as the exhaust:

27150.7. A court may dismiss any action in which a person is
prosecuted for operating a vehicle in violation of Section 27150 or
27151 if a certificate of compliance has been issued by a station
pursuant to Section 27150.2, or if the defendant had reasonable
grounds to believe that the exhaust system was in good working order
and had reasonable grounds to believe that the vehicle was not
operated in violation of Section 27150 or 27151.

27150.2. (a) Stations providing referee functions pursuant to
Section 44036 of the Health and Safety Code shall provide for the
testing of vehicular exhaust systems and the issuance of certificates
of compliance only for those vehicles that have received a citation
for a violation of Section 27150 or 27151.
(b) A certificate of compliance for a vehicular exhaust system
shall be issued pursuant to subdivision (a) if the vehicle complies
with Sections 27150 and 27151. Exhaust systems installed on motor
vehicles, other than motorcycles, with a manufacturer's gross vehicle
weight rating of less than 6,000 pounds comply with Sections 27150
and 27151 if they emit no more than 95 dbA when tested in accordance
with Society of Automotive Engineers Standard J1169 May 1998.
(c) An exhaust system certificate of compliance issued pursuant to
subdivision (a) shall identify, to the extent possible, the make,
model, year, license number, and vehicle identification number of the
vehicle tested, and the make and model of the exhaust system
installed on the vehicle.
(d) The station shall charge a fee for the exhaust system
certificate of compliance issued pursuant to subdivision (a). The
fee charged shall be calculated to recover the costs incurred by the
Department of Consumer Affairs to implement this section. The fees
charged by the station shall be deposited in the Vehicle Inspection
and Repair Fund established by Section 44062 of the Health and Safety
Code.
(e) Vehicular exhaust systems are exempt from the requirements of
Sections 27150 and 27151 if compliance with those sections, or the
regulations adopted pursuant thereto, would cause an unreasonable
hardship without resulting in a sufficient corresponding benefit with
respect to noise level control.
