Was I scammed?

I'm rarely seen posting on the forums, since the search button is pretty good at answering my questions. However, I just wanted to let you guys be aware of parts-r-us00 on ebay. I believe this colon bag has robbed me of 25 bucks. I ordered a key fob and haven't heard from him/her since. Damn deal was too good to be true. I've tried to contact said person through their "email" (FAILURE NOTICE). I've sent messages on ebay, but to no avail. Sigh, time to deal with paypal again. Be careful buying off the internet peoples.

Paypal should have a buyer protection guarantee if you go through in these situations correct?

Thanks for the inputs, but this person I'm dealing with seems hella shady. All contact information leads to dead ends. I ordered from him because I noticed the good ratings he had. What's really confusing me is that he has no other items up for auction. Is it a coincidence that I bought the very last item in his inventory, I don't think so. Always in hindsight I guess. I charged it on my card so if paypal doesn't want to play nice, I'll just hit up my cc company. If someone knows of a 100% legit site where I can pick up a key fob hassle free please let me know. Thanks.

30-40 bucks is expensive for key fob. I got my key fob for 12 buck shipped by searching Nissan key fob on ebay.

how long has it been? at least wait 7 business days before taking action. Usually ebay sellers can get swamped with things (although as you said he's not selling anything which could be your answer) and can't respond to every email. If it doesn't show up after 7 business days, and you still haven't heard from him, contact paypal, and then CC company if paypal falls through. Good luck
