I am now a memeber of the leaky valve cover club

However I went to Concord Infiniti this morning and Anneliese wrote me up under warranty very easily,
2003.5 with 56k miles I'm quite dissapointed with how many issues I've caught on this car in the 30k that I've owned it. Thank goodness most of them I've gotten taken care of under warranty. Maybe I'll extend it huh?

I bought the PLFR5A-11 plugs to have them install when they do the work. My motor I felt always pingged a lot, I wonder if I should have gotten the colder plugs?
I seem to remember in my twin turbo Z days that if I ran cold plugs they tended to foul sooner though. Any $.02 about which heat range to install?

Wow you got valve covers just under the wire on warranty. Good deal.

Colder plugs usually only needed/recommended if your FI. There's something else causing that condition if you're NA. My .02: Go with normal heat range if NA.

Have them data log Alpha % numbers and all 02 mv's 'under load' with their Consult II/III to find pinging condition. They did mine but didn't do 'under load' like I instructed, which 'is' the correct procedure. They were a big waste of my time with that. Since, my Dyno AFR's tell me why and got Cipher to tell me more about my ping issue.
