Where can I get MDF board cut? [San Jose]

Whatup everyone,

I'm looking for a place that will measure and cut MDF board and carpet it as well. I just need a 1 piece "faceplate" to cover my sub box.

Any idea how much this will cost and where I can get it done at?

Thanks guys,
J

When I used to build sub boxes back in the day, I would go to Home Depot for my MDF and their workers would cut it to specs. As far carpeting goes, if you can't do it yourself then any stereo shop should do it for a fairly cheap price. Hope that helps.

home depot doesn't guarantee their cuts to be as close as you want though. the workers are willing to try their best for you but its no guarantee of what you want. when i did mine i just used a jigsaw and cut it how i wanted it. and for carpet i just got black staples and staple gunned it in. cant see the staples through the carpet and it stays much better than a lot of the glues out there

For straight cuts I wouldnt recomend jigsaw. Your sopose to use a skill saw or table saw now for rounded edges or sub openigs you use a jigsaw or router. As for carpet best results is stretched and glued to the box/faceplate..etc.. Staples will make its somtimes rip with time as its only held on edges and not on all tuching surfaces. Btw I wouldnt trust HD cutting my stuff.
