There are a couple of strategies that I use to get around this ridiculous pricing. If you go in a big group and don't want to order that many bottles you can split your group up and have half be put under the tables name and the other half pay to get in. Once everyone is in you meet up at the table and split the bill amongst the one big group.

It is almost impossible to get discounts at clubs for VIP service. Your best bet is to call the club and ask for the VIP bottle service to figure out pricing, be forewarned that you are in vegas and they will be charging 400-500 per bottle. Most clubs also have a minimum bottles per people at the table (normally around 1 bottle per 3 people) which makes the prices ridiculous.

Ok, one more trick to getting in. Its all about girl to guy ratios when entering the club in Vegas. If you have a smaller party (4-5 guys) and do not feel like coughing up the money for a table or standing in line you can bypass this by having more girls than guys when entering. Where are you going to find the girls you may ask? Look all around you when you are outside, there are swarms of good looking chicks that are trying to get in, offer to pay for their entrance if they will enter with you. No chick in their right mind will refuse this offer. After rounding up a nice amount of girls work your way up to the bouncer and tell him your situation and that you have a lot of cute girls trying to get in. Here is the key: slip him $20 folded up in your initial handshake. Remember that CASH IS KING, so greasing people goes a long ways. He should accommodate you and let you in. Granted you are going to have to pay for some of the chicks but it beats waiting in a three hour line, just be sure to pre-party in your hotel room before hand to save on some drink costs.
This greasing technique has also worked when checking into your hotel room. Slide a $20 bill behind your CC and ask if they have any room upgrades (this worked about 25/30 times I have tried). They will either hook you up or slide your $20 back and say they don't have anything available.

If you plan on going to a nightclub on Thursday, Tryst at the Wynn is the spot to go. However, on Fridays and Saturdays, Pure at Cesars is also a good night club as well. The club i would not recommend going to is Bank at the Bellagio. That club has over-priced drinks and it was really small compared to the other night clubs in Vegas.
