Exclamation NEED HELP fuel gauge problem!

my fuel gauge wont work at all!?? all the way below empty... and its got plenty of gas in it.... just moves like 2 inches,,, what should i do,,, just replaced my dead battery and it didn't move it at all???? any ideas!?

Either the sending unit or gauge went bad. See you have a 2006 = warranty = dealer visit.

Exactly what I did.. guess my whole cluster was bad. So I gattta loaner!! G37!! Lol thanks guys wwont have my car 4 4 days sucks.

Bumping this old thread. Did the dealer say how they determined the cluster was bad? My fuel gas is also showing completely empty even when the tank has plenty of fuel. I have a 2006 too, so I thought this might apply.

When my battery was replaced/drained/ then jumpstarted in accessory mode , the surge made the needle swing around to below empty. They took apart my dash, moved it back, and it's been fine ever since.
