Exclamation Ticket for front tint and clear corners

Well, I just got a ticket for having tint in front windows and clear corners with amber bulbs in them. Rosette was being a ***** and gave me non-correctional ticket for both things and it looks like I have to appear in court and pay a fine. I got tint taken off and had to leave work 4 hours early because of that. The jackass that gave me ticket he said that I can't drive the car until its fixed and the fine will be $800. Does anyone know whats the usual fee for tint?

I asked another officer about clear corners and if having clear corners and amber lamps is legal. He said it has to be red. I told him that originally it lights up amber.

PS: on the 16th if this month I got a ticket for being in carpool and officer gave me ticket for being in carpool and gave me warning for tint. I haven't had a day off yet so I couldn't take off the tint. Even then Rosette gave me ticket.

Well the ticket that I got on 16th says warning for tint, and I didn't have any days off yet.

For the clear corners, I asked another cop, and he says that its not legal.

The clearcorners are legal with amber bulbs and the tint should be correctable with a $25 fee. Just remove the tint and dispute the noncorrectable tint in court. Here is the law about sidemarkers for california. They can be clear as long as they light up amber at night. Its illegal to have red or blue in the front of your car. Your rear side markers must be red. Hope this helps.

Clearance and Side-Marker Lamps

25100. (a) Except as provided in subdivisions (b) and (d), every vehicle 80 inches or more in overall width shall be equipped during darkness as follows:

(1) At least one amber clearance lamp on each side mounted on a forward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the front and at least one red clearance lamp at each side mounted on a rearward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the rear.

(2) At least one amber side-marker lamp on each side near the front and at least one red side-marker lamp on each side near the rear.

That's funny, because 24003 VC says just the opposite. 25106 and 24003 VC say they must be yellow (aka amber).

* Blue and yellow headlights. Headlights must be white - blue and yellow are illegal (24011 VC). Look for the DOT symbol on the bulb and package.
* Headlights brighter or higher wattage than those from the factory. You may be able to see better, but the lights are illegal (24011 VC).
* Tail lights other than red (24600 VC).
* Illegal brake lights. Brake lights on vehicles newer than 1979 must be red (24603 VC). (Vehicles older than 1979 may be red or yellow.)
* Lack of rear reflectors. Two red reflectors are required on the rear of cars and trucks (24607 VC).
* Incorrect color of turn signal. It must be white or yellow to the front, red or yellow to the rear (24953 VC).
* Red lights to the front. They are illegal except on emergency vehicles (24003 VC).
* Tail lights that incorporate a bulb with a red tint or coating. In general, custom tail lights that incorporate a clear outer shell and red inner lens are legal (24011 VC). If they don't incorporate reflectors, they must be added to the vehicle (24607 VC).
* Tail lights that are too dim, washed out or show yellow, white or other colors (24600 VC).
* Illegal color of side marker lights. If present, must be yellow in the front and red in the rear (25106, 24003 VC).
* Driving with just parking lights on (24800 VC). Vehicles that have factory-installed automatic daytime running lights must meet federal requirements and are legal.
* Illegal decorative lights (24003 VC). All flashing decorative lights are illegal (25250 VC).
* Illegal windshield washer nozzle lights. Only white or yellow are allowed. (25106 VC, 24003 VC).

So the way I see it, as long as my clear corners light up orange during darkness, they can be any color during the day. So that case will be won. Now for the tint, I will provide proof that I worked and didn't have time to take to the shop. And I have proof that I removed tint today. I will plead not guilty and take him to court

Is it me or the officer wrote wrong vehicle code that I violated.

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc26100.htm

He wrote that # and that I have to change to amber clear corners?

the rear tail lights from a side angle view need to show red. the front sidemarkers lense, however, need to be amber/yellow as calvin stated. I got pulled over tints in the front and he gave me the option to take it off right there or i will be issued a citation and it wont be a fix it ticket either. 2-weeks later i was pulled over by the SAME COP, and this time he made me take off rear tailight overlays from my rear because rear tailight didnt show red if u looked at it from a side angle

The law applies to the light. They light up amber. It does not say that the lamp housing or lense must be amber.

i got the same ticket plus a no front licence plate just show up to court and be one of the 1st 50 people (i think its 50) and he should turn the tint ticket into a fix it ticket. Also make sure you can stay there until 12pm because the judge calls people up randomly

O yea and it was by the same cop too
