I'm looking to remove my HKS coilovers and put my stock suspension back on my car. I was wondering if you guys knew of any local shops that would do this at a reasonable (cheap) price.

Do you guys have any experience with any of these other shops? Just wondering what the average price is to put back the stock suspension.

 

Do it yourself. This one time I was replacing my springs at 2am at home. Just don't start doing it late like me and then end up doing it all night.

 

Ironically I work at a smog shop on the weekends and have access to a lift and air tools. I just don't have a spring compressor (do I even need one?), oh and I'm hella lazy .

someone PMed me and offered to stop by and help. I MIGHT just try it DIY style, but I'll try calling around tomorrow to see what the going rate is. If you guys know of any other reasonably priced places/people, please let me know.

 

where do you work? its only few bolts, i might be able to help

 

You won't need a spring compressor Bert as the front struts should be intact since you went with a coilover setup. It helps to have air tools but not necissary.

thanks Chris, man I might just try this myself then. What about the rear? do I need to compress the stock spring to get in back in place?

Rob - Yea, I do want to sell it. My son is finally old enough to ride in the back without a car seat so I really want to get a coupe.
