steven's creek infiniti aka "frontier infiniti" did a 15 minute oil change on me and I never came back again.

beshoff infiniti wanted to charge me $871 plus $240 for labor to replace a broken rearview mirror and slightly scarred windshield where the mirror broke. Not exactly friendly or a confidence building gesture when you're trying to make a first time customer feel good about visiting your dealership.

went to a friend's shop who offered to do it for $400 with aftermarket parts.

then in the end a windshield repair guy saw my problem and suggested the best solution, a repair kit, since the damage was not as bad as what the dealer said, and I went to Autozone to buy a $5 dollar repair kit and glue mirror back on without a problem. From $1100..... down to a $5 solution. It worked out great, no problems at all.

Goes to show the "expertise" and "professionalism" of infiniti dealerships. I'm in sales, so I have no problem recognizing bull**** when i hear them speak.

The OEM review mirror is not cheap by any means. I broke 2 of them suckers in the past few years. THe shaft actually snapped from the vibration cause by my audio system. Of course it was replaced free under warranty but I was told of the cost.. Ouch!!

What kind of aftermarket mirror did you get? I would think for what you paid, it is not the same as OEM.

THe last time my review mirror came off, it took a piece of glass with it. ONe layer of glass about half the size of a dime was still stuck to the mount. My window guy just used some special glue and it was stuck as good as new in a minute...

I have had nothing but great service at Beshoff. Maybe you should go to Peninnsula Infiniti only. I heard they take really good care of their customers.

That's what happened to me. My 3 year old niece was playing in the car. She grabbed it and it broke. A piece of glass the size of a dime came out. Instead of offering to glue it back on they said I had no choice but to replace thw windshield and mirror. Notice their choice of words "have to". My mirror was fine. The windshield guy said all I had to do was glue it back on. It was on his interest to sell me a new windshield but he was honest and gave me his professional opinion instead of trying to gouge me. I appreciate that more than all the posturing Beshoff and Stevens creek engaged in. punks! Dirty birds. It sealed my hatred when the parts guy took a look at my drivers seat and said he could wrap it in new leather 'for about $10k'.

I could buy a pretty good used car for that money.

I know Infiniti parts are expensive but stop these guys should stop acting like we're all dumb.

That homelink is the only reason I keep it, actually. Is that + autodim why it's so damn heavy?

Seriously, though, $10k for new seat covers?! That's bs. I hope they don't try that with me because I do need new leather for the seats -- you can tell my girl's been left out to bake in the sun before I adopted her.

I would love to use the homelink but I cant get it to work with my apt complex. Using the remote for the gate does not work for apts. Sucks...

That's exactly what I use it for at my apt complex. If you have the gate remote, it should work. If you start a new thread, I can try to work with you to get it working.

Mine has a rolling code (home garage opener). Had to press learn button on opener for it to link with my homelink. Hand-held remote program way prolly doesn't have rolling code in master unit. There's different procedures depending on master. Agree, new thread subject.

Dealers are not windshield repair facilities + they don't want the liability.

Dealers are not leather upholstery shops either. I bid ridiculous high when I don't or can't do the job. It's (ironically) a nice way of saying no to the customer.

Gotta read between the lines.

Heard nothing but A+++ since Beshoff opened. Don't know what else to say

Oddly enough, that makes a lot of sense. Now I just need to learn how to take "no" for an answer.

Absolutely right. Maybe they can't. Gee it doesn't hurt to say 'oh sorry we don't do that here'. They insisted they could for that price. Pretty blurry.

I guess the point they are making, as V35 pointed out, is that they will replace but not repair due to liability issues.

Don't get me wrong, I get what v35 says. It's very true. What I'm saying is stop the bull****ting and tell me your capabililty whether you can replace or repair make it clear. It's not like this is abstract art and I have ro stand there and drool while they come up with a subtle way to tell me something. This is America no one has time for that crap. Repair or no repair say it and quit the ***** circle. One thing I can't stand other than a liar is one that makes elaborate stories to deny me something. Yes or no we don't go. That's all I need to know. Get to the point and no one gets shot. I don't mod my car to be badass like some people but i will whack punks that bull**** me
