You might consider having a tournament style poker game too. Give the top 3 some money for winning. Keeps the buy-in low ($5.00 maybe) and you get a bunch of tournament chips.

Ok I've been playing on MSN Texas Hold'Em and getting the hang of the blinds etc.

VINH - Can you set up a poll for the following dates -

Sept 12 (SUNDAY - 2nd week)
Sept 16 (SUNDAY - 4th week)

For the first card night event, will thase dates work? It gives us a month to set this up...Also, if we say the minimum is $30.00 or so to play, perhaps $5.00 of that can go to our club's cash pool for a future event?

1) I work nights.
2) Football season is starting and I will be spending any Sunday's I have off watching games.

But I'll still try to make it once in awhile.

 

i can't host once my house mates come back. it's actually their house that I'm living in. So September is gonna require someone else to host.

i'll bring the poker chips as well as the poker table.

i'll set up a poll once we have a host for the event.

I have the same problem, David. My stepmom wouldn't be too thrilled if I had a bunch of people over for poker.

I do live on Page Mill Road though, which would make for a decent club drive except that you guys have done it already.
