this is what I heard so far so I kno I cant register then...

By the time registration opens, over half the spots will be taken. Just from the 2 people I know who have spots already are bringing 30 cars! LOL.

Also.. For registration, you will need a mod list and 3 pictures. I believe they did this last year as well. Supposedly they are going to get a little picky on the entries this time.

The focus on this year's event is EURO!

they are going to be very picky on the cars that go in this year. there were way to many lightly modded cars last year.

Oh well .. save me the effort from trying to register ..

No way my car is "mod'd" enough.

But I just might be there for the pic ops!

Thanks for the heads up.

Hey guys!

Just in case there's confusion......"PUBLIC" registration does NOT open til Jan 1st - you are hearing direct from me. We plan to have it open for about 2 weeks and know it will fill faster than that.......more info is being added to www.SFWEKFEST.com

I invited a few friends/crews that I call "family" and others that won in past and asked if they would like to defend their title for next show. I gave them a pre-reg invite......I am sure some of this info leaked but all good....this private email i sent out was a nice gesture on my behalf....SOme have not recieved the email yet....but yes there are a few that got asked,,,,,,

I do not think its fair that people pay $5-10 admission to enter my shows and see stock cars....We r trying to make the WEKFEST Jtown show differant, the elite cars show. the best of the best. We have space in our spring and summer show where we can accomodate all levels and types of cars......that show is for everyone to show....but japantown is so small we want to showcase the elite....

To others, I hope this info helps and I appreciate all those who continue to support my efforts to provide an awesome GTG show at 1/3 the fees of a typical HIN/EAF show charges.....

Refunded and overbooked facility to get nicer cars in the show? thats exactly what we DIDNT DO last year and hence some of the gangsta cars on my waitlist of 250+ never got in. Some were multiple magazine and sema featured cars. I was fair about it and they were not registered. This is why I am now doing the opposite and screening cars as they register for future shows in Japantown.

Look man, I'm not trying to call you out or embarrass you, and if I came across that way I sincerely apologize. You put on one of the best shows by far, and I, along with a bunch of teams look forward to it every year.

I deleted my posts, and while I still back what I said, I regret posting it in the forum and apologize. It just gets very frustrating when you have someone saying they had 50 cars in the show last year (and had to turn away 1) when we had to fight to keep our 10 spots.
