Wheel Opinions Please

Hey everyone,
It turns out I am keeping my G due to chp breaking down on people/cars that fit the "racer profile". The other day my friend got pulled over and the cop asked if he had a downpipe.... How do they know what a downpipe is.... Well anyways I will no longer be getting an Sti/Evo because it is too risky.

Since I am planning on keeping the G, I am planning to go wheels, spring/shocks or coilovers, front lip, and eventually make my way up to a turbonetics single turbo kit.

I was looking at the Linea Corse Lemans aka the BBS LMs replicas. They are a lot cheaper and look exactly the same. I am on a college budget and about to be jobless. I want the wheels either black or gold. Does anyone have these wheels and would like to post up some pics?

Thanks a bunch,
Alex

LOL. I'm planning to get an Evo 9. I'm not worried. My friend is picking up the STi. Wouldn't a ST G35 get you into more trouble?

At least the Evo is turbo'd stock. So you can lie to them and say the turbo is stock. Be sure you have on your.......

That is true that a turbo would get me in trouble. But the chances of a cop pulling over someone for fitting the "racer profile" is a lot higher for people who drive Evos/STIs than g35s.

What do you mean racer profile? By the looks of the car I'm guessing? True, the evo looks a bit more like it is owned by someone who races because of the huge wing. (OMG HUGE WINGS = STREET RAZORS) Remove the wing, and go for a clean look, it will look more classy less racey.

Cops know that the majority of evo owners buy the car to mod it. Rarely do you see old ladies driving them, as for the G, majority of g drivers are middle aged women. I agree that the wing is way too flshy on both the evo and sti. And finding an untouched evo is nearly impossible. I know the g doesnt put on much power with both ons, so I've chosen to go single turbo.

Back to the wheels.... anyone have any suggestions on wheels that are similar to the linea corse lemans, and imput on how they would look on a coupe. And whether I should look into gettin 18s or 19s.

Those are really nice, but they are probably out of my price range. The lemans seem like a pretty good steal. Just trying to figure out if i should go satin black or gold w/Plip. Really tough decision, cause with satin black i will be going for the blacked out look, and gold will be a lot more flashy and i dont know how that would look.

I would highly recommend going with 19's over 18's. Just a thought... aftermarket wheels are going to make your G start to fit the "racer profile".

Well looks like your choices are get black wheels and go the "black out" theme.

Or get another color, and go the "flashy" theme.

If gold is too flashy, try bronze maybe? Black and bronze work pretty well together.

I was thinking about 19's also, but tires are more expensive! lol With my bad luck, with nails and screws, i will be replacing them more often than usual. Wheels don't make you stand out as much as an evo or sti wing. Plus, there are sooooo many cars with just wheels. Everyone throws wheels on their cars.
