just wondering who transports their pups in their G35's? and if so... what precautions do you take when doing so...

also please include your breed and possible weight/height from the withers.

a side note- i am not interested in those with little toy dogs that you could tie to your rear tow hook like those stuffed animals that people use...but if you'd like to share... please do.

and yes i remember the thread with the guy who left his dog in the car and the dog proceeded to ****, step in his **** then walk around the entire vehicle with **** on his paws... and it was pretty s h i t tastic...

im thinking sitting shotty with a seat cover and blue tape on the outside door just below the plastic strip in case the pups paws dangle out the side...

I have a 1yr old Beagle that i bring with me everywhere. Hes about 24 pounds and is sized small-medium.

For him in my car left alone: he digs into the seat whenever hes really bored and he chews up any paper in the front portion of the car. THe only thing that he ever made me really mad was when he CHEWED UP MY EBRAKE HANDLE. oh i forgot to mention, he tried to chew on the seatbelt buckle but only left not-noticable scratches. he never pissed nor pooped in my car.

when i drive with windows open, he loves to stick his head out the window and even brings his paws out and sometimes scratches my car.

he always moves around while driving. hes sleeping in passenger seat then moves to rear seat then moves to the rear floor mats then comes back to passenger lol

 

My Choc. Lab has ridden in the Coupe a few times, mainly when I had to take him to Ventura for his leg surgery. I try to use the Jeep if he goes anywhere with me. My yellow lab has never ridden in it , she's too hairy. Leo's right at 80lbs, I don't know how tall, but he can sit in the passenger seat without bumping his head on the roof.

I cover the seat with a beach towel, then a sheet to cover the center console, cup holder and the seat again. The leather makes the sheet slide so I used a scarf to tie it around the headrest. I only roll the window down a few inches, he never puts his paws on the door. I have put the window down further and he just leans his head out on the side mirror, but then I can't see so I don't do that often. If the sunroof is open he sticks his nose straight up.

I have put him in the backseat once, it was quite the vision when I completely covered the seat, floor and back dash with towels and sheets. I even put pillows in the seat before covering it to make it more level.

There are some seat covers that might work really well, they have different types with elastic and ways to secure them on the seat. Check PedEdge.com or Jeffers.com and maybe you will find something that works.

My Blue nose pit has been in my car a few times since she was a pup at 8lbs till she got her last shots when she was 23lbs. I thought her to just sit on the floor mat. I slide the seat all the way back and she chills. Somtimes she would get on the seat and just laydown and knock out but most of the time I wouldnt let her. Allthough she did try a few time to put her paws on the center consiol as I would shift. but I was hella parranoied of her scratching the trim so I basiclly trained her to stay on the floor mat. You got a dog you tryna take somewhere Ricky?

 

not exactly... im picking up a pup soon, wont be born until may/junish, a superior size red/rust doberman. they average 140lbs 35-40" tall... everyday dobermans are only 100lbs 27ish" haha.

I have alternate vehicles to transport with but id love to take my pup in the G like royalty....

 

haha thats wassup like a KING. That means you wont get the pup till August/septemberish right? You should be coo. Pups are easier to train. So I would teach it some manners in the car. My neighbor has a Athens blue coupe and he takes his big *** husky with him everywhere. The only problem he has is his pass window gets all licked up lol

 

I have a wired hair daschund weights about 18-20lbs. I would say he is a medium sized dog. I normally just move the seat all the way and roll the window down a little when we are on city streets so he can stick his head out and look at wutevers.

 

ill have him in july... birthing frame is mid may but early june at the latest... gettin him a hair after his 8 weeks.

i used to breed huskies so i am completley away of the processes of raising/training animals haha. Just put down my female 3 months ago she got cancer.

although i dont live with my pops anymore, he used to train 5-0 canines for oakland pd. and I have picked up many tricks/tips. was even thinking about training this pup using german commands just to be cute hahaha. but i wont.

he's about 12 lbs and most the time he just lays down in the back seat.. i just put a towel across the rear seats for him to nest in

i got my blue nose pit in my car he just chills in the front seat.

 

i have a lhasa apso. around 25 lbs. about 2 years old. I just put him on a leash and keep him in the front seat. Surprisingly well-behaved dog. We drove him up from LA in a U-haul for 7 hours and he just sat in the front with my girl. I've driven him around on errands before. I'd keep a towel or something in the front seat just in case.

 

I got a bullmastiff that weighs over 125lbs that sits in my coupe front seat sometimes :O
