If you are near Alamo, go to Giovanni's Barber shop. Ask for Barbara.

I used to go to Zip Zap hair in SF: http://www.yelp.com/biz/zip-zap-hair-san-francisco

If you have curly hair, definitely ask for Eddie! He seems to have a negative review on Yelp, but both me & my ex-bf loved him, Eddie cut our hair about 6 times, we were always super happy. I have thick straight black (asian) hair but my ex had thin curly hair and could never ever find a stylist who could cut curly hair right, until Eddie.

The only reason I dont go there (or anywhere) anymore, is because my roommate cuts my hair now and she's awesome

I go to Kim's Hair & Nails over on Tully & Quimby next to the Shoe Palace & Food Max. Can't go wrong with $6 haircuts!

Ask for Nancy; she's the best, but she usually has a lonnnnnnng line if you don't get there early enough. When I don't feel like waiting for her, Natalie does an excellent job, too. I've also used Randy & Lily. They're both good, also.

Rick's barber shop. Hands down the best in the city, you get a shave, massage, etc... the price is great to at around $10.
