I switched a long time ago. What I noticed most was the easier shifting when my 6mt was stone cold.

I don't remember vibrations with OEM stuff, but sure don't have it with Amsoil either.

I actually noticed a change for the worse. In the cases where I have swapped to the Amsoil MTG fluid, the shifting had become more difficult; specifically, it started taking more time for the shifter to synchronize into the various shift gates. After switching to the less viscous OEM fluid at 75w85, I immediately noticed "easier" shifts.

Never had vibrations with oem. But when i flushed my trunny and replaced with the OEM oil again I noticed a significant difference, just as you would when you change motor oil.

Interesting, you are the 'only' one I've heard that from on here, my350z and other G/Z forums.....

Redline improves shifting like Amsoil does from what I've read for years too

I had the more viscous fluid (amsoil/redline) in since new, put about 80k on the tranny with it, replacing the fluid every 30k. Then the dealer offered to replace the tranny in an effort to resolve some drivetrain noise. They replaced the tranny, but the noise remained. I drove on the new tranny for about 3k, then put the amsoil in there and the difference in shift feel was so severe that I went into panic mode and within a week I had the original OEM fluid back in which instantly improved the shift feel. I think the only way to really tell is to do a side by side comparison on the same car..? Or perhaps the new transmission is more sensitive to the transmission fluid viscosity?

51K on my 6mt. 36K of those on Amsoil's GL4 stuff and still smooth as room-temp butter
