Got a red light camera ticket but the driver wasnt me...

So i got a red light ticket and the person in the picture was not me. In fact I've been out of state since July and I'm still not back in the state yet while the date of violation is July 18 2010. So my question is how can I have the ticket dismissed without having to identify the person in the picture? the car was my dad's car and it got photo taken as it was making a right turn at at red light.
thank you

Wait, your dad's car is registered to you? Or did I read something wrong? If that's the case, you're SOL.

Ticket won't be dismissed. If you know who that person is they need to own up, otherwise it's on your DMV record not theirs.

I have had 2 dismissed. The first was a car I sold (didnt have to give up the driver) and the second was never my car but the driver did look like me, but it wasnt.

In the back of the ticket it asks u to make a copy of your drivers license and fill in the name of the driver.

or

Go to court and the judge reviews the video/picture and dismisses the ticket when he/she sees its not you in the driver seat. I know Fremont Court doesn't ask if you know the driver, they just check to make sure its not you.

No my dad's car is not registered to me. And the driver wasn't my dad either.

The ticket is actually at Fremont court. Do you know if i can just go to the police department to prove it is not me and ask them to dismiss the ticket like some of the advices on some websites say or i have to wait until court date to do so.

Something just isn't adding up here lol. Did your dads car got stolen or something? Maybe another family member drove it while you guys are out and you guys don't know about it.

It sounds like OP does know who the driver was, but simply wants to have the ticket dismissed because it's not him, and at the same time avoid being forced to identify the person who was driving.

I'm puzzled on why you got the ticket? It's illegal to make a right turn on a red light?

You might be able to disprove to them about the red light infraction.

I got a ticket for making a right turn in the second lane even though that lane is for right turn only. I fought the ticket and won.

If there is no sign that you can't make a right, you can make a right in the second lane if that lane is for right turns, FYI

It is if you dont make a full stop. It is only legal to blow a right turn on a red light if there is a Yield sign.

However, I have seen right hand turn red light violations be reduced. Only the straight across are the ones that they wont reduce.

Some intersections do not allow turns on red, period. Others only allow a turn on red after a complete stop first. If it's either of those, then it'll be tougher to fight.

yea but there will be no way a camera can detect if you made a full complete stop right? So, I'm still puzzled why he got the ticket..
