Yeah they can, and they also take video. So if the camera is wrong (it happens) the video can be reviewed.

Exactly.

There's one spot that I personally know of in S. SF - they've got two sets of cameras. One is behind you as you pull up to the light. It checks to see if you make a complete stop and records video. Then if you don't make a complete stop and make the right turn, then the next camera (located after the turn) flashes ya, takes your picture with your license plate. Boom - you've just been fvcked.

well i have been doing some research and it seems like they cant make you identify the driver if you don't want to. They can try but there is no law that requires you to snitch on the driver

^^ G'luck, I guess. Lessons learned here - don't let others drive your car. And if they do, they better obey the law

That is true! You don't have to identify the actual driver and that's why the ticket was issued to the cars owner. One way or the other somebodys paying for it. In SF the cameras here takes pics of the front and back license plates and the DRIVER lol.

If you get a ticket like that and the driver isn't you, someone has to pay. Many of my friends received this same ticket, either you pay for it or have the driver pay for it. It's your car and it has to be someone you know or a friend that's driving it. So getting it dismissed in my opinion would be unlikely.

Dunno if that will work. The 5th Amendment protects against self incrimination. Does it also protect against incriminating others?
