The Sacramento G's and Z's will be showing at the 2011 1st Friday Car Show.

Like last year, we'll be sharing the event with the Sacramento NSX Club.

This year - we'll be showing on July 1st, 2011.

Unfortunately we'll be limited in the number of cars that I can show. 24 G's and Z's. (The NSX group has the same limit)

I"ll be starting a sign-up list soon. I just wanted to give you a heads up, so you can reserve the date.

Event: 2011 - 1st Friday Car Show at the Fountains in Roseville
Featuring: The Sacramento G’s and Z’s Group and Sacramento NSX Club

As a follow-up to last years successful showing, we’ve been invited back!
If this event is “new” to you – do a search to review last years event.

Date: 1 July 2011
Time: Car Show: 6PM to 10PM (Note: Once your car is staged. It must stay through the show. No IN-OUT traffic will be allowed.

Registration Details: Registration is required It is free and due to limited spaces - subject to acceptance/availability. You will be notified if your entry is accepted.

1) You must provide the following information either via PM or email to: inqui.z.tor@gmail.com. Title PM / email: 2011 1st Friday entry (This way I can recognize it and not treat it as spam)

a) Your real name, forum name and forum you are from (this is for emails specifically)

b) A photograph of your vehicle. Exterior shot (side view, ¾ front view). If you wish, you may supply a “link” to an image. Note – By supplying image, you are giving permission to use the image for 1st Friday Car Show advertising purposes (either by the Sacramento G’s and Z’s Group or the Fountains at Roseville).

2) Registration begins: 1 March 2011 and ends when all spaces are filled. Note: There will also be a stand-by list, just incase there are last minute cancellations.

Car Show Details:

1) Cars will be displayed on the east end of the shopping complex. In the parking area in-between Whole Foods and Peets Coffee.

2) Entry into the show area (car show entrants/participants) is via Fountains Security. You will need to display the appropriate “Car Show Pass” to gain entry.

3) Car Show Staging is 5:15PM to 5:30PM. Cars must be in-place by 5:30PM. Pre-staging is between 5:00PM-5:15PM (Northeast parking lot – Off Galleria Blvd). Pre-staging is where you will pick up your “Car Show Pass”.

4) Car Show times: 6:00PM to 10:00PM

I'm down to go I went last year it was sweet.

 

Got a great mix of rides .. s30s, z31s, z32s, z33s, z34s .. g35s and a g37 ...

I'll probably accept a few more extra than spaces I have .. just incase, those that have been accepted have to drop out for any reason (it is a few months away, and schedules change).

 

To those that have "registered" .. Thank You!

Just a quick post to advise you to check your PMs and/or emails for an update regarding the event.

 

Here's where the "list" is thus far ..

5 - s30*
3- z31**
3- z32
4- z33
2- z34
6-G35
1-G37

* = 1 of the s30 is "tentative" .. may have a scheduling conflict, won't know until June.
IF another z34 or G37 is available. They get 1st call to take it's place.

** = 1 of the z31 is "tentative" as well. Pretty much the same story. My 1st choice would be to replace it with another z31 .. but if not .. a z34 or G37 .. maybe a s130.

Anyone who submits their registration info now .. will be put on the stand-by list.
I may be able to get additional slots, but I can't promise anything at this early date - but if you're on my standby list, you'll get 1st consideration.

 

I went to the 6 May - 1st Friday. Corvettes were the featured marque .. there weren't too many of them. But I did learn ..

Parking for the show cars on the "north side" appears to extend from Dave & Busters all the way down to Sunglass Hut (+/- a slot or 2)

Parking for the show cars on the "south side" appears to extend from DSW/Mukini to Coldwater Creek (+/- a slot or 2).

Note also there should be a new restaurant operating by our show .. Yard House (a SoCAL based restaurant chain) is scheduled to be opened by June 26th.

Note: Those in the show - expect an email with updated information regarding pre-staging, etc .. by the end of May.

Your locked I'n for 4 hrs!!! And can't leave!!! Wth??? I wish I could just stop by and chill out

 

For the 1st Friday event they block off the entire main street (both sides) .. from Dave & Busters (where the car show starts) all the way to Whole Foods.

The car show will take up approx 1/2 of main street .. so once the cars are in .. it's not convenient nor safe to allow in/out vehicle traffic (just like any other car show).

Those in the show - I recommend bringing an extra chair (or 2) .. if anyone wants to visit .. just park in the general parking area (anywhere but main street) and visit/chill-out. You may want to bring a chair as well. While there are a few sitting areas, they're not located at every parking spot.




But you're welcome to come on out and chill out. You can park in general parking and bring some chairs ...

 

I will be sending out an email to all those that have a spot for the 1st Friday Car Show.
Note .. If something has changed and you cannot make it. Please let me know.

I have to provide final numbers this week to the organizers and I do have a few names on the stand-by list that could use your spot.

 

FYI ...

All the slots for the show are filled.

However, I am still taking submissions .. just in-case there are any late (last second) drop-outs/cancellations.

To get on this stand-by list, you have to EMAIL me.

Come on out .. The Fountains has plenty of nice restaurants (and shopping for those inclined). Weather's supposed to be nice (not raining)

Showing .. 20 Z's from 240 through 370. 16 NSX's ... and 7 G's
