Oakland restaurants I love....

Mexican like you've never had it. Park across the street in the Walgreens parking lot. You'll impress a date. Casual.

Cheap Mexican, insanely good. Across the street from the Rockridge BART station.

Super small Turkish and California. The owner waits on you. Sort of hole in the wall there's maybe 15? tables. Parking behind the building.

All I can say is yum! Southern with a twist. Impress your date restaurant. Pricy.

The best rabbit! Italian like I had in Italy date restaurant. Pricy.

Blueberry ribs, Diegos Chilis, yum! Right off the freeway on Lakeshore. Very casual.

Hana Zen at Pier39- pricey but just right portions and harmonious mix of flavors.

Everett & Jones (ribs BBQ) Jack London Square, Oakland- laid back, meat falling off the bone smoked ribs, no place to sit during lunch time weekdays or weekends but well worth a visit. Slathering of BBQ sauce, corn bread, charming wait staff. Best part for me was soda drink with ice came in a jar! Yes, like a honey jar. So cool. Talk about atmosphere.
