5th Annual Bay Area Cruise to Cruz 7/16/11

After much confusion, the time has finally come. The Bay Area's 5th Annual Cruise to Cruz is here! Mark your calendars, request the day, call in sick, switch shifts, whatever you need to do!

Here is all the details for this year's Cruise to Cruz:

DATE: July 16, 2011
MEET AT: 9am @ Safeway, 2558 Berryessa Rd. San Jose, CA 95132
Meet here and get whatever snacks etc. you want for the trip.
ROLL OUT AT: 10am (Please try to be here before then)

From Safeway we'll take the 680-S, 280-N and 17-S to Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz, CA.

*Please note that this is NOT A RACE! It's a cruise. Please obey the speed limit, stick together and enjoy the ride.

DIRECTIONS:
Take the 17-S into Highway 1-N toward Santa Cruz. Stay on HWY 1 through Santa Cruz (HWY 1 becomes Mission Street). Turn left on Swift Street and go all the way to the ocean. Turn right at the ocean and you will come directly to the entrance of Natural Bridges State Beach.

I was planning to go to this but it would be awesome to see some fellow G's out there.

Hmm, a 'cruise' on a windy public road with a bunch of Hondas, huh? I'm not knocking this event, but the last big cruise on 17 didn't turn out well (oddly enough, because of the bimmers).

^very true, but let's not 1-2 people ruin an event...one because a "kid" just got his car and wanted to show off. Two, the Prelude was near done on his rear tires. The people that did go and went in a control group got there safe and had a good time.

I was right in front of that bimmer that flipped. I actually witnessed the ENTIRE accident. It's weird cuz all of it happened in slow-mo in my rear view mirror.

Come out & have fun! Its not just Hondas, been attending this event for a few years & every year I've seen Supra's, NSX's, G's & Z's, Evo's, Subies, Bimmers etc. 2009 was probably the biggest import cruise in the bay area

I've been to this beach a few times. I wonder where all the cars will park. Outside by the side road or inside the parking lot where you have to pay?

Its your choice, but usually every year the inside lot will be filled up & more than half the cars will be parked outside.

Some random pics

^That is about 1/5 of the cars btw
